emmanuel Grivet
Choreographer, dancer and pedagogue.
He discovered dance with Jean Masse in the 80s, then deepened his training with various choreographers and the company Trisha Brown. Director of his company, since 1993 he has created more than thirty pieces for her or for other groups.
In 1998 he began a research, shared with Yann Lheureux, on improvisation, lap-dance, instantaneous writing and composition, which led him to meet and dance with some figures of this movement (Mark Tompkins, Julyen Hamilton...) and to forge its own tools for writing and training dancers.
Approach
The company creates pieces that mix intimate themes, around the couple identity / otherness, and contemporary subjects such as the troubles of the world, time, the place of the image or the dialogue between "common" and "singular"...
Through her specific choreographic writing integrating composite materials and open structures, she also explores the conditions of representation and the place of the body in the show.
His projects and achievements are the subject of collaborations abroad (South Korea, Spain, Israel, Japan, Mali, Mexico, Netherlands, Tunisia, India, etc.) and since 1998 his pieces have been widely distributed in the region, in France and abroad.

Between 2001 and 2021 the company was a permanent resident
and artistic partner associated with the city of Tournefeuille.
She is now looking for a new location in the region.
